Where employees come first

A few years ago, Christel Van Minnenbruggen was unemployed. At the same time, Kapernikov was looking to hire somebody with professional experience in SAP, and who would be able to lead a project for one of their clients. Following successful telephone and face-to-face interviews – bingo! The contract was signed within one week and Christel began her new role as Data Cleaning Consultant at Infrabel.

Kapernikov encourages all staff members to achieve their full potential

Depending on individual needs and available project opportunities, Kapernikov strives to facilitate the professional development of its employees and dedicates significant investment to training programmes. This approach has enabled Christel to further improve her Dutch language skills.   She has attended individual, semi-individual and group training sessions. Christel also had the opportunity to undertake a specialist training course in High Voltage, based at the Catholic University of Leuven. Christel herself states: “Kapernikov is an excellent organisation. It allows its employees to progress within the company by learning new skills and overcoming workplace challenges. This encourages us to grow, enhancing our professional development. Furthermore, Kapernikov are real experts within their field.  If we have a problem or need advice they always listen to us, explaining the situation and offering solutions. They really pull out all the stops to ensure that each and every consultant achieves their full potential within the business.”

Encouraging and supporting a healthy work-life balance

In addition to her professional career, Christel is a full-time mum to 3 children. Employee absence can interfere with an organisation’s ability to maintain the efficient running of daily business operations. Kapernikov have always made their beliefs and values clear. Christel tells us: “The company told me that my children’s health and wellbeing is the most important thing. When I have had to stay home and take care of my children, they have always been extremely understanding. Only in exceptional circumstances have I had to work overtime. Here at Kapernikov, a healthy work-life balance is not just empty talk.  ”

Kapernikov:
where employees come first

Christel recently had the opportunity to put herself forward for the position of Master Data Coordinator at Infrabel. She immediately informed Kapernikov of her desire to apply for the role, as not only was it an exciting job opportunity, but it was conveniently located near to her home. Although sad to lose a company asset, Christel’s contact person reacted positively and provided her with great encouragement: “Do not hesitate – go for it!” In Christel’s own words: “Kapernikov are just incredible. I am still in regular contact with them regarding training my replacement and answering their questions about my previous job role. Kapernikov genuinely care about their employees and these days, organisations with this mindset are few and far between.  Even if I no longer work there, Kapernikov will always be my go-to company. ”
